(099) A Systematic Review Investigating the Involvement of the Pelvic Floor Muscles in Sexual Function and Sexual Response

Abstract Introduction The pelvic floor muscles (PFM) have been suggested to play a key role in sexual function and response women. However, current syntheses of the evidence limited interventional studies investigating effect modalities targeting PFM on women with pain disorders. literature has therefore never critically appraised while excluding these potential confounders, which prevents fully capture understand involvement response. Objective To examine synthesize available on: i) effects training without or disorders, ii) association between function/response iii) differences dysfunctions. Methods Electronic databases including Medline, Cochrane, CENTRAL, CINAHL, Psycinfo, Sportdiscuss, AMED, Scopus EMBASE were searched using peer-reviewed search strategy.
